We love the look of a curiosity or specimen display on an old cabinet or feature wall. Really, it’s so easy to achieve a rewarding look with very few items and a little creativity.
Start with a couple of focal pieces and imagine what the purpose of the scene should be — say a specimen collection or a workshop.
Next find some utilitarian containers like old mason jars, vintage tins or small wooden boxes and stock with specimens or bulk workshop materials.
Then arrange and create tags on dark paper swatches or chalk directly on to the surface.
The key is be spontaneous and keep it fresh and evolving as you find new items.
So easy.
